⚱ ACNH Gyroids / Haniwa Set ⚱
22 items | Sims 4, Base game compatible.
These are decor items, except for one that I have made an extra version of to be a functional radio. All original swatches included, a few extras added. This set goes out to the one person who keeps voting for it in the polls ☺️💗 Since my original thought was that these would make really cute decor for a pottery shop, I've made some pottery shop posters to go with them. Simlish versions on ones with text!
Type “ACNH Gyroid” into the search query in build mode to find quickly. You can always find items like this, just begin typing the title and it will appear.
Always suggested: bb.objects ON, it makes placing items much easier. For further placement tweaking, check out the TOOL mod.
Use the scale up & down feature on your keyboard to make the items larger or smaller to your liking. If you have a non-US keyboard, it may be different keys depending on which alphabet it uses.
I hope you enjoy!
Set contains: -Crash | 6 swatches | 1208 poly -Drum 1 | 6 swatches | 1210 poly -Drum 2 | 7 swatches | 1210 poly -HiHat 1 | 7 swatches | 1205 poly -HiHat 2 | 6 swatches | 1006 poly -HiHat 3 | 5 swatches | 1208 poly -Kick 1 | 4 swatches | 1208 poly -Kick 2 | 7 swatches | 1210 poly -Kick 3 | 6 swatches | 1076 poly -Melody 1 | 6 swatches | 1210 poly -Melody 2 | 6 swatches | 1188 poly -Melody 3 | 5 swatches | 1210 poly -Melody 3 (functional radio) | 5 swatches | 1210 poly -Melody 4 | 6 swatches | 1210 poly -Melody 5 | 4 swatches | 1112 poly -Melody 6 | 5 swatches | 1210 poly -Melody 7 | 5 swatches | 1210 poly -Snare 1 | 4 swatches | 1192 poly -Snare 2 | 6 swatches | 1208 poly -Snare 3 | 5 swatches | 1188 poly -Snare 4 | 4 swatches | 1186 poly -Pottery Shop Posters | 20 swatches | 4 poly

500-Year-Old Shipwrecks With Porcelain and Wood Discovered in South China Sea
Hundreds of years ago, the Ming dynasty relied on maritime trade to import key goods from foreign countries.
Now, the discovery of two Ming-era shipwrecks in the South China Sea is giving experts a better idea at what that trade looked like.
The shipwrecks were discovered about 1 mile below sea level on the northwest slope of the South China Sea, according to a May 22 news release from the State Administration of Cultural Heritage via the Institute of Archaeology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Here’s what archaeologists have found in the shipwrecks so far.
A TROVE OF PORCELAIN
Experts determined that the first shipwreck dates to the Zhengde period of the Ming dynasty — which lasted from 1506 until 1521.
The wreck was overflowing with porcelain goods, including bowls, cups, plates and jars in various glaze colors, officials said.
More than 100,000 relics, mostly made of porcelain, have been uncovered so far, and experts said they are spread across hundreds of thousands of square feet.
Photos from the discovery show stacks of porcelain pottery. Although most of the pieces are covered with sand and dirt, ornate, colorful patterns are still visible beneath the grime.
STACKS OF LOGS AND POTTERY
The second, older shipwreck dated to the Hongzhi period of the Ming dynasty — which lasted from 1488 until 1505.
At this site, experts found stacks of logs and some pottery, according to officials. The persimmon logs were all a similar size and were neatly stacked.
Further research revealed that the logs could have been intended for shipbuilding, experts said. Chinese literature indicates that most products used to build ships were imported from foreign countries, according to the release.
A UNIQUE DISCOVERY
Archaeologists said their discovery marks the first time ancient ships sailing and returning have been found in the same area, indicating that they were likely on an important trade route.
Experts will continue researching and monitoring the wrecks, and they hope to learn more about ancient maritime trade routes and cultural exchanges, they said.

Headcanons: Douglas family (first focusing on Angela for a while, before the entire family)
Requested by:
Angela and the triplets:
The triplets go by: April, May and June.
I’ve binged watched people play through the entirety of season 3- SO LET’S GO-
1 - Angela picks up a lot of hobbies. Besides the few she picked up in season three (photography and painting kinda), she also tried out pottery, candle making and even making small puppets are some point. She carved the designs in the candles, saying it was fun and everything.
2 - Angela has really good spice tolerance.
3 - Angela is a workaholic. She focuses on her work a lot and takes a lot of pride in her work too.
4 - Angela gets at most 6 hours of sleep a day- even when Lars is trying to make her sleep that doesn’t really work does it?
5 - she doesn’t trust people easily. She will work together with them, but she doesn’t trust them at all. She knows it when people trust her, and that trust won’t ever be returned.
6 - Angela is an overachiever. In school, she was constantly striving to do better than she was, even when she was already doing extremely well. She has become extremely competitive and always wants to win.
7 - pilates. She definitely does pilates. And she’s really good at it. (The triplets try to join her but they always fail- it’s so funny watching them try to copy Angela-)
8 - Angela has tried learning to play instruments. She tried playing the drum set Lars had once, and decided she didn’t like it and gave up.
9 - she has a lot of different kinds of earrings. Besides the hoops she usually wears, she also has some studs. During Christmas, she has this fun little pair of Christmas themed earrings she wears to celebrate.
10 - she can cook. She can cook really well. The Douglas family basically loves her cooking so so much- she’s a better cook than Lars too lol-
11 - Angela bas rough hands and slender fingers- she keeps her nails short so it’s more convenient and comfortable for herself during work.
12 - Angela tends to fidget about a lot. She constantly needs something to do- so she focuses on her work most of the time.
13 - she’s trying to learn another language on the criminal case version of duolingo- and she has gone off track and is now trying to learn at least 3 languages now- AND SHE IS SOMEHOW DOING REALLY WELL-
14 - her closet has some really nice outfits- she has turtlenecks, dresses- sweaters- those kind. She basically mixes and matches.
15 - she has a black headband with white polka dots on it- and she wears it every now and then to keep her hair in place-
(Everything from now is the Douglas family headcanons)
16 - there was a time Lars and Angela took the kids to swim, and Lars specifically had no intention to get wet. Until the triplets pushed him into the water.
17 - June is the most chaotic of the triplets. One time, she stole a grenade from Jonah’s office and tried to throw it at a suspect they were arresting- They had to stop her and bring the suspect to a different holding cell since she removed the pin-
18 - besides their parents, the triplets bother Jonah the most. You can always find them in Jonah’s lab, bothering him or trying to climb him like he’s a tree- Lars walked in on June hanging from Jonah’s arms while she swung about. Another time, April and May were pasting stickers on Jonah. He had so many stickers on his face you couldn’t see his face-
19 - the triplets cover everything in stickers. They slapped a sticker onto Elliot’s computer, they slapped a sticker into Carmen’s hair, they completely covered Jonah with stickers- And they somehow taped someone to the wall (rest in peace Jack- he’s not dead but yeah).
20 - the triplets also bully Jack a lot. They cut off part of Jack’s hair once- and Jack cried about it.
21 - the Douglas family have little tea parties together and it’s adorable- they make Lars dress up as a pretty princess. Jonah joined these tea parties once and was dressed in a tutu.
22 - June cut off her bangs for fun once, but it looked really bad- so Lars, Angela and the other two of the triplets tried to help style June’s hair to hide the badly cut bangs-
23 - Angela tries to feed the family (Lars and the triplets) veggies- it almost never works- in the end they eat it against their will, and Angela can swear she always hears them grumbling about it.
24 - The triplets draw on the walls. Angela and Lars saved this one wall for them to draw on, and sometimes get them these step ladders so they can draw properly-
25 - the entire family watches Bluey together lol- Angela really likes watching it in particular, she cried watching it at least ten times already.
That’s all for now-

1 Oh my God, why have You abandoned me? Why are You so distant from the sound of my groaning? Why do You fail to save me? 2 Every day I call, but You do not answer. Every night I cry, but You are silent. 3 Yet my people have always praised You for Your holiness. 4 When they trusted in You, You always delivered them. 5 When they cried to You, You came to their rescue again and again. When they put their confidence in You, You never let them down. 6 But I feel as if I were more worm than human. I am despised and scorned by everyone around me. 7 My captors deride me, shaking their heads and mocking me: 8 "She trusted in God. If God truly delights in her, let God rescue her!" 9 I know You as the One who took me from the womb. You cradled me upon my mother's breasts. 10 From my birth I have been cast upon You. Since my mother bore me, You alone have been my God. 11 Do not forsake me now that I am in trouble, with no one else to help! 12 I am surrounded by guards who look like strong bulls. 13 Their mocking mouths are like the jaws of ravenous beasts. 14 My bones are pulled apart, and my limbs are like water. My heart melts within me like hot wax. 15 My strength is dried up like baked and broken pottery. My tongue clings to my jaws. Is it You who lay me in the dust of death? 16 Evildoers surround me like dogs, piercing my hands and feet. 17 I am so starved I can count all my bones. See how they stare at me! 18 They gamble over my clothing, dividing it among them. 19 O God, do not be so far away. Help me! Hurry to my rescue. 20 Deliver my soul from their attacks, my body from their assaults! 21 Save me from their devouring mouths, their evil threats and thrusts. 22 Shaddai! You have answered me!... I will proclaim Your saving grace to all my sisters and brothers. I will praise You among the assembly of the faithful! 23 All you children of my people, glorify God, and stand in awe before Her! 24 For Shaddai has not ignored the suffering of the afflicted. She has not turned away from the cries of those in pain. 25 You, O God, are the theme of my praise in the congregation of Your people. I will pay my vows before those who revere You. 26 Now I know that the starved shall eat and be satisfied. All suffering seekers will someday praise You! May their hearts live forever! 27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and return, O God, to You! All the families of the nations shall worship before You, Shaddai! 28 For to You belongs true dominion; Your reign reaches to the ends of the earth. 29 All the wealthy, all the poor, all those ground down in the dust- together they will worship before You. 30 Their children shall also serve You, and tell the next generation, 31 who in turn will proclaim Your deliverance to a people yet unborn: "Hear the great things God has done for us!"
Psalm 22 (feminine translation from Swallow’s Nest: A Feminine Reading of the Psalms by Marchiene Rienstra)

─── ⋆⋅ ( CHARITHRA CHANDRAN + CIS-FEMALE + SHE/HER/THEY + NOBILITY ) dearest reader, I am delighted to introduce NOEMIE DELPHINE TALBOT, the twenty-two year old, LADY, known among the ton to be CHEERY & SOFT SPOKEN but their foes may tell you that they are more HIGHLY ANXIOUS & EXPLOSIVE, but we shall know more about them as the season progresses.
Basic Info :
Name: Noemie Delphine Talbot
Nicknames: Nay-nay, Delly, Gnome (more than likely by a childhood bully)
Age: 22 (Twenty-two)
Birthday: July 17th
Orientation: Questioning
Languages spoken: English, French (her favorite), learning Chinese
Marital Status: Unwed, starting her first season a year late
Appearance :
Hair: Natural black waves and loose curls reach her upper thigh
Eye color: Deep brown
Height: 5'0
Dominant Hand: Left
Body: Slender
Personality :
Positive traits: Cheery, soft spoken, playful, attentive, detail oriented, artistically inclined
Negative traits: Can be rather emotionally driven, highly anxious, explosive, germaphobe, can be self conscious
MBTI: INFJ-T
Some Backstory :
Being the last daughter of the Talbot line, Noemie was afforded such luxuries such as ballet, painting, singing lessons, pottery, and other artistic ventures from a very early age. Not too much was expected of this young lady growing up, but she did have her own tribulations.
She was prone to anxiety attacks that used to occur during high moments of stress when she was younger, they seem to happen more intrinsically now but she has her ways of alleviating as to not cause a scene.
After her brother's death from illness, her germophobic tendencies seem to have worsened when it comes to herself. She maintains a rigorous self care and hair care regimen every night.
Her sister is her closest friend and confidant, there is very little she doesn't automatically share with her and she values her opinion highly.
She is hopeful and excited for her first season, she is quite the hopeless storybook romantic! Though because of this, she can be a little foolish.

Unintentional Love Story Eps 7 & 8 Stray Thoughts
Last time, everyone finally expressed their feelings in the open, and Hotae rose in the rankings. We had some incredible hands content thanks to a pottery wheel. We left at the beach trip, and I'm waiting for the company issue to come for the fore. I continue to struggle at recalling the previous events of this show each week with any specificity.
Episode 7
Oh right. Wonyoung thought he was maybe alone in his attraction.
I really like the way Taejoon talks to Wonyoung. He's a considerate and gentle man.
Why are they hiding from Hotae??
Donghee is so valid for being annoyed that his party is a bust.
It really is a relief to have a character like Wonyoung that can explain his own feelings when asked.
Holy shit Taejoon is cheesy and I love it.
I'm kinda over the manager's calls.
Flirting when both people have admitted they like each other is just so much more fun to watch.
I've admittedly been struggling to stay invested in this show, but seeing a lonely character come out of his shell for the man he likes is something I very much enjoy.
I feel like I recognize the Yeonghee actress.
This man gets so jealous. I'll accept it for BL, but y'all need to trust people if you want things to last.
Of course Wonyoung can't just come clean without additional mess stumbling through the door. I hate this dude. I don't remember his name, but he's slimy.
"We dated for five years. I can't say it was a good relationship, but it was a steady one," may be one of the most jaded lines I've ever heard in a BL. We need so many more older characters in the genre.
Oh, Wonyoung. I know the timing seems wrong, but I really want you to tell him the truth.
I gotta be honest, the heavy drinking in K-BL really bothers me.
He really put this man to bed under blankets with a whole cardigan on, only to be like, "Endure it."
I feel like Taejoon is right to be so bothered by the sudden disappearance.
This whole process to tell Taejoon the truth is taking too long for my nerves.
Mhmm, and he didn't tell him before the manager showed up. Tedious.
Episode 8
I don't even feel sorry for Wonyoung about how any of this is going to go down. I only feel for Taejoon, who feels betrayed and used once again.
The disappointment on Taejoon is palpable.
Oh shit, the storming back in was so intense that I started holding my breath. Taejoon has been so gentle this whole time, so the loss of composure hits hard.
Oh, Wonyoung, "you can't fool me with those crocodile tears."
I'm excited to see how these two reconcile, because finding the lamp he made for him left outside was devastating.
I love Taejoon. He is bitter and hurt, and this is going to be Wonyoung's problem too. Still, it hurts that he has to accept that he can't avoid the art world. I appreciate the poetry of giving someone who betrayed you what they thought they wanted.
Watching Hotae and Donghee interact in all this green has me thinking about @respectthepetty describing Green Boys during Our Dating Sim. I feel like this is an untapped space I'd like to see from Thailand and Japan as well.
I'm certain some viewers will struggle with Taejoon's behavior, but I get him completely and will defend all of his responses to this situation.
Oh what's this weird green spec on the screen around 22:20? Was there a problem with the lens and they missed it?
I love Donghee as well for continuing to push both of them.
I don't like Wonyoung returning to a company that thought he was part of a corruption scandal under circumstances like this.
The shot of the two of them looking at each other with other blurred people walking past is one of my favorites in romantic cinema.
I love when sad characters retreat into a tough persona and lie about not having anymore feelings for their person anymore.
Oh, Ji Wonyoung, I like the way you fight. I'm glad we had an old friend who had a crush on him return just to remind us that he's sincere.
Cha Seo Won is pretty good. I'm enjoying him a lot.
It's interesting how this is one of the longer shows we've had in a bit. We're getting towards what I think folks want from a full length K-BL. I like a lot of the ideas here, even if I think the show is a bit slow in a way that doesn't always feel contemplative.

Biblical Archaeology Lesson 01: The Old Testament
There are many skeptics who believe the Bible is a book of legends, myths, and even fairy tales. However, the Bible speaks of real people, real places, and real historical events. How can we be so sure of this? The answer lies in biblical archaeology.
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, archaeology is “the scientific study of material remains (such as tools, pottery, jewelry, stone walls, and monuments) of past human life and activities. Biblical archaeology is a historical discipline that uses relevant archaeological discoveries to shed light on the historical and cultural setting of the Bible.
Let’s examine ten fascinating archaeological discoveries with relevance to the Old Testament of the Bible.
Let’s read together 2 Kings 17:5-23.
The Assyrian Limmu List (also known as the Assyrian Eponym List)
The Assyrian had devised a calendar system where they named each year after a prominent Assyrian official. The Limmu List is a clay tablet with a list of those names in chronological order, dealing with years 858 to 699 BC. The Limmu List is important because it establishes the chronology of Assyrian kings, which can be used to cross-reference and reconstruct the chronology of the kings of Israel.
Let’s read together 1 Kings 16:29-33.
Kurkh Monolith of Shalmaneser III
This is an Akkadian inscription on limestone. It speaks of the military campaigns of the Assyrian King Shalmaneser III. One campaign of note is the battle of Qarqar in 853 BC. There is a reference to “Ahab the Israelite.” This may be a reference to king Ahab of Israel who reigned from 874 to 853 BC.
Let’s read together Daniel 1:7; 2:49; 3:12-30; 2 Kings 25:8-9; and Jeremiah 39:9-14; 52:12-26.
Nebuchadnezzar II prism
This is an eight-sided clay cylinder with inscriptions on each column (side). The prism has an inscription telling of its completion in 598 BC. Only six columns are preserved. Column six is a list of Babylonian officials. Nergal-Sharezer and Nebuzaran, two Babylonian officials mentioned in the Bible are on this list. More notably this list also has the names of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, the Babylonian names of Daniel’s friends Hananiah, Azariah, and Mishael!
Let’s read together Numbers 21:29; 2 Kings 3:4-5; and Jeremiah 48:46.
Moabite Stone (also known as the Mesha Stele)
This is a stone inscription written by Mesha king of Moab around 840-860 BC. It confirms the Moabites worshiped the god Chemosh. It also mentions Mesha winning a victory over Omri, king of Israel.
Let’s read together 2 Chronicles 36:22-23 and Ezra 1:1-8.
Cyrus Cylinder
This clay cylinder is a propaganda account of Cyrus’ conquest of Babylon created around 539 BC. In addition to establishing Persian rule, the Cyrus cylinder proclaims deported people may return to their homelands. This proclamation gives credence to the Bible’s claim the people of Israel were allowed by Cyrus to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple.
Let’s read together 2 Kings 24:8-20.
Jerusalem Chronicle
This describes the history of the kings of Babylon from 605 to 594 BC. It records the first deportation of the Jews in 605 BC. It also mentions the second deportation of the Jews in 597 BC, the destruction of the Jewish temple, the capture of Jehoiachin, and the appointment of Zedekiah.
Let’s read together 2 Kings 18:13-25 and 2 Chronicles 32:9-10.
Lachish Relief
This is a gypsum wall panel relief dating to 700-681 BC. It depicts Sennacherib’s victory over the kingdom of Judah at Lachish. This relief is significant in that the kingdom of Judah was formidable enough for Sennacherib to commission the relief in the first place. Secondly, it is telling that the relief does not depict the defeat of Jursalem, meaning Sennacherib never conquered it, just as the Bible declares in 2 Kings chapter 18 and 19.
Let’s read together 2 Samuel 2:1-4; 5:3 and 2 Kings 8:25-29.
Tel Dan Stele
This stele was erected by an Aramaic king dating to approximately 900-801 BC. The inscription boasts of the king’s victory of “the king of Israel” and “the king of the house of David.” The significance of the Tel Dan stele is that it testifies to the historicity of King David in the Bible.
Let’s read together Psalm 12:6-7.
The Dead Sea Scrolls
This is the most well-known biblical archaeology discovery. Fragments of all the books of the Bible (except for the book of Esther) have been found in the caves of Qumran in Israel. These fragments date from roughly 250 BC to 68 AD. The Dead Sea Scrolls prove that the Old Testament we read today is the same Old Testament Jesus read over 2000 years ago.
Let’s read together Numbers 6:24-26.
Ketef Hinnom Silver Scroll
This is the oldest record of the Scriptures. It records the blessing in Numbers 6:24-26. The Ketef Hinnom scroll predates the Dead Sea scrolls by hundreds of years, dating to approximately 600 BC.
There are so many more archaeological findings of relevance to the Old Testament. If you are interested, you can look up the Obelisk of Shalmaneser III, the Merneptah victory stele, Hezekiah’s tunnel inscription, the Lachish Letters, the Nabonidus Cylinder, the Berlin Pedestal, and the palace of Sargon.
These biblical archaeological discoveries show that the Bible is not a book of legends, myths, and fairy tales. These archaeological finds show that we can trust the Bible when it speaks of historical things. If we can trust what the Bible says about historical things, then we can trust what it says about spiritual things.
Friend, are you willing to put your trust in the Bible?

34 Roman Gems Discovered at Carlisle Bath House
More than 30 semi-precious stones lost in a Roman bath house 2,000 years ago have been recovered from its drains.
The remains of the bath house were uncovered in May 2017 during work to move Carlisle's Cricket Club's pavilion that was damaged during Storm Desmond.
Archaeologist Frank Giecco said the beautiful gems probably fell out of bathers' signet rings and were lost down the drains.
More than 700 finds, including pottery, weapons and coins have been uncovered.
Mr Giecco said the project had received more funding and a further dig was planned at the site in May.
He said the artefacts, some made of amethyst, would have dropped out of rings as the glue keeping them in place was affected by the steam of the baths.
The engraved gems, known as intaglios, are only a few millimetres in diameter and ended up being flushed into the drains when the pools and saunas got cleaned.
Mr Giecco said: "They are beautiful miniatures pieces of art dating back to the 200s AD.
"They were set with a vegetable glue and in the hot and sweaty bath house they fell out of the ring settings.
"Carlisle was very much at the centre of the Roman frontier and we are very excited to go back on 22 May for more amazing finds, as it is the site that just keeps giving."
A number of hairpins, also in good condition, were also recovered from the drains and it is hoped all the finds will eventually go on display in Carlisle's Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery.

Reputable tour operators in Rajasthan work closely with Bishnoi villagers, respecting their way of life and promoting sustainable tourism that benefits the community.
